Christen Boone is the Founder & CEO of The Boone Group, with a mission to elevate leaders, organizations and communities.
Christen Boone is an experienced leader, who has helped transform some of the nation’s most cherished cultural institutions. She is uniquely qualified to coach and guide organizations and individual executives as they meet the challenges of the mid-21st Century.
The Boone Group’s recent clients include two professional sports franchises, Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville, as they navigated the process of creating a foundation from scratch. Christen Boone led this process, including hiring and coaching its first executive director. The Boone Group also led the Louisville Ballet through its recruitment and onboarding of a new executive director.
Other recent engagements include strategic team and board retreats, corporate social responsibility planning, organizational assessments, capacity building and new CEO community integration for clients such as Norfolk Arts Alliance, Oklahoma City Community Foundation, The University of Louisville, World Affairs Council, Park Community Credit Union, Amped, and Leadership Louisville.
Before returning to the Boone Group, Christen served as the President & CEO of the Fund for the Arts, transforming a 75 year old organization, the largest arts funder in the region, to a more inclusive, equitable and impactful community driver of change. Over the course of her career, Christen served in leadership positions for some of the region’s most treasured institutions from The Parklands of Floyds Fork, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Greater Louisville Project, Cincinnati’s ArtsWave and Atlanta’s High Museum of Art.
Christen Boone is recognized as an expert in organizational strategy, stakeholder engagement, DEI and change management. She is a dynamic keynote speaker on topics regarding leadership, corporate social responsibility, and social impact.
